The Style Itch – a blog focusing in on all things stylish, from fashion and beauty, to culture and identity. Written through the eyes of a millennial for a millennial, by Northern-based fashion writer, Abby Jackson.
The Style Itch started as a personal online outlet, my own little space on the internet where I could share my writing and photography with the world. Whether anyone was listening or not, my aim was to use it as an excuse to discover new things, talk to insanely interesting people and start a conversation that combines light, relatable humour with frank and honest girl talk.
What drives my love of fashion is the creativity, freedom and confidence it can give to its wearer’s. Personal style is just that, personal, so everyone has their own spin on what they think is stylish and I have always found that fascinating. With this blog and any writing that I do, I hope to inspire likeminded people to live a life they love and do what makes them happy.
After graduating in 2015 with a 2.1 in Fashion Communication at Liverpool John Moores University, I decided to further my education and journalistic training by taking a short course in Fashion Journalism at London College of Fashion and completing a home study for an NCTJ Diploma in Journalism. Besides this blog, I have a regular style column in local Doncaster magazine Doncopolitan as well as freelance blogging about events and retailers for my local shopping centre, The Frenchgate Centre.
I am always eager to take on more freelance and copywriting work. So if you want to know more about me, or you’ve just got the itch and fancy a chat, you can contact me directly via my Contact Page or email me firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also catch me on Twitter, Instagram or see what inspires me over on Pinterest – you can even catch all my posts in one place on Bloglovin‘.
Finally, and most importantly, thank you. If anyone is out there reading this, just know that it really means the world.
