Shopping Is ALWAYS A Good Idea

So did everyone get some good black Friday deals? For me I can only do sales online, walking into a shop where a rail has been chock-a-blocked full of clothes hurts me. I don’t have the patience, I like to see everything nicely set out, colour or outfit co ordinated… I’m basically a fashion nerd. Although, I do love a vintage rail that looks like that… Hmm, even I can’t make sense of that.

But with this in mind, I’ve absolutely loved the deals at ASOS, Topshop and Nasty Gal. It was my first time shopping at Nasty Gal as well. I don’t know why. I’ve read Sophia Amoruso’s book and watched the Girl Boss Netflix series, so I don’t know what took me so long, but I love it! I managed to find THE most lush check trousers. I’ve wanted some for so long so I thought I’d sleep on it to make sure I was certain about them. Literally, within a matter of hours someone swooped in and nabbed them!! You don’t understand the heartbreak. I had to cheer myself up with a luscious purple coloured denim jacket and a cute check dress. (What is my obsession with check?!) Moral of the story: just buy it! If it’s crap, you can always return it (haha!)

ASOS were my saviour during this sale period. I’ve wanted some nude trainers for a long time now, my Adidas and New Balance pairs are WRECKED I wear them that much. Nude just looks so nice, simple and don’t take attention away from the outfit you’re wearing, where some trainers can. A while ago I thought I’d have a look around and see if there were any I liked. I fell in love with a simple pair from Lacoste, but at £80 around Christmas I thought there was no chance. But then I checked ASOS just to see if they had any better options in the sale and there they were! Nude Lacoste with 20% off! Yes! Straight in the basket they went. No sleeping on this one, they were mine!

Topshop has always been one of my faves; I live by their jeans. Although the pairs I got weren’t in the sale, (I’m all about that raw hem straight leg crop at the mo) there are some lovely jackets, trousers and boots I’ve been eyeing up… Maybe next time.

I’ve also taken this opportunity to start my Christmas shopping. My family are the hardest people to buy for so I need to start my search early, look absolutely everywhere and build up as I go. So far I’ve just got little bits, a book for the boyf, a game for the bro, some slippers for my dad, a nightie for my mum and a funny little bag for a friend.

When it comes to spending I am definitely one of those people that spend above their means… I don’t mean to, I just get so excited and start thinking of ways to pay things off ‘Rebecca Bloomwood’ style (If you’ve not read Secret Dreamworld of a Shopoholic, you need to! It’s basically me). Buying for other people is no different. I always set myself a spend limit but then I keep seeing more things that each person would like. I guess at the end of the day, as cheesy as it sounds, their faces when they get the stuff is definitely worth the slight overspend.

Anyway, although I’ve apparently saved so much money, I’ve also spent too much too. So I’ve got to wait for next payday. But if you guys don’t, I’d be looking through some of these deals if I were you…
